WHO we are

The San Francisco Wine and Food Society is an organization of gentlemen with a shared passion for fine wine, food and friends that has brought us together since 1935.

We are one of the oldest gastronomic societies in the United States and we seek to promote a wider knowledge and appreciation for fine wine and food from all over the world.  By means of our exclusive lunches, dinners and special events our 120 members, many of whom are vintners and growers, seek to advance and nurture the dignity, civility and fellowship found within the society.

We have built and maintain a fine wine cellar that has no peer amongst wine and food organizations in the Bay Area.  The society built this wine cellar for the benefit of our members and to serve while dining at some of the finest and most innovative restaurants in Northern California.  Many of the events we hold during the season will include ladies and guests.

Those individuals who have a strong interest in learning about and enjoying fine wine, gourmet food and the fellowship of our members should consider membership.
